Who can become a member?

All licensed Life Insurance Professionals can apply for LUAP Membership (click here to apply now). LUAP Membership is on a calendar basis and automatically expires at the end of the calendar year regardless of when the application was approved. Membership renewal is done the early the following year.

How much is the membership fee?

LUAP annual membership fee is Php1,200 (click here to apply now). The association, through the Chairs, reserves the right to give Membership Fee discounts at their own discretion.

Users who are licensed life insurance professionals and are interested to apply for LUAP membership will be required to create an account. The Website is intended to be used for Users who are above the age of 18. We shall not intentionally gather personal information from users under the age of 18 and submission of these users of their personal information to Us is expressly prohibited and their submission of such info shall neither be used nor retained by Us.

You guarantee that the information provided is (a) true and complete, and (b) shall always be maintained and updated to keep true and complete. Should there be any reasonable ground to believe that the information provided is untrue and incomplete, the same shall result in the suspension or the termination of your access to the Website and shall bar any future use of the Website or any portion thereof without any notice.

For the username and password upon registration, please choose a password that is secure and not easy for others to guess and regularly change the same for your personal safety.

  1. WHO MAY APPLY FOR LUAP MEMBERSHIP?

LUAP is an association open to all licensed life insurance professionals who passed the licensure exam administered by the Insurance Commission and all individuals who are affiliated or are employees of a life insurance company in the Philippines. 

  1. MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION AND PAYMENT

Submission of an online membership application and registration to an event is regarded as a firm membership application, registration to an event, and acceptance of these terms and conditions, however, the registration will not be confirmed until full payment has been received. Payment in full must be received at the time of registration. In the event that the full payment is not received, the delegate will be refused entry to the conference. 

Payment(s) through this Service may only be made with a Credit Card, Debit card or Net Banking, Mobile payment, Cash payment/OTC through GCash, Paymaya, 7eleven (7connect), ECPAY, BDO Over the Counter (BDOOTC), BDO Online Bills Payment (BDOOBP), Unionbank Online Bills Payment (UBPOBP), MLhuillier, Cebuana, PNB Online Bills Payment (PNBOBP), PNB Over the Counter (PNBOTC), SM Payment, UCPB Over the Counter (UCPBOTC), UCPB Over the Counter (UCPBOBP), Security Bank (SBCOBP), Bancnet IPG, Direct Agent 5, Expressway

  1. REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY – MEMBERSHIP FEE

Membership Fee/s will only be refunded for CANCELLATION/S OF MEMBERSHP/S any time of the year. 

Notice of cancellation/s shall be e-mailed to [email protected] and [email protected] ATTENTION to both MR. BRYAN BATERNA & MS. CHEN MADARANG with the following details:

Note that the amount to be refunded shall only be the amount of the Membership Fee and shall not include charges of website admin and processing fees. The lead time for refund processing shall be THIRTY (30) WORKING DAYS. 

  1. SUBSTITUTIONS

Substitutions may be allowed any time of the year so long as the substitute is qualified to apply for LUAP Membership. 

  1. Media

The User may upload a profile photo. Images that can be uploaded are those with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website CANNOT download and extract any location data from videos, images, and any content on the website.

  1. Contact forms

The User may use the contact forms provided in the Contact Us section of the Website. By filling out the form, We reserve the right to collect, store and use data provided.

The data collected via this Website are all stored online and handled by 2 authorized Front Office personnel.

The data collected via this Website shall be stored online and the same also has a log-in history feature where we will be able to know the access history of the database. In the event of a breach, access to this database shall be automatically disabled and an issue shall be raised to Our Website Developer for investigation of the breach. 

  1. What Third-Parties We Receive Data From

We also receive details of MDRT Day, 2021 Registrants, from insurance companies’ authorized representatives who sponsor their financial advisors’ MDRT Day Registration Fee. The details provided by the authorized representatives are deemed true and complete once submitted to Us.

  1. What Automated Decision-Making and/or Profiling We Do With User Data

The data gathered shall be used for analysis purposes on the status of registrations per insurance company, on the demographics of MDRT Members and aspirants on making targeted events for a specific group of members.

  1. Industry Regulatory Disclosure Requirements

We strictly comply with Republic Act 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

  1. Choice of Law; Jurisdiction and Venue

These Terms of Use shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any legal proceeding against Us in any way related to our Website shall be brought exclusively in the appropriate courts of Makati City to the exclusion of any other court.

  1. Indemnification

In any and all claims and liabilities, including but not limited to attorney’s fees, arising from any content or post by you to through this Website or from your unauthorized of any item taken from this Website, or any breach of these policies shall cause you to indemnify LUAP and our affiliates, employees, agents, representatives, and third-party service providers, and to defend and hold each of them harmless from any and all claims and liabilities.
