How the Life Underwriters Association of the Philippines (LUAP) and its member advisors handle the details you share through the Financial Check-up and this website.
Last updated: 25 August 2026
Who this covers
The Financial Check-up is a tool that individual financial advisors — members of LUAP — use in their own marketing. When you open a check-up link or ad, you are dealing with a specific advisor: a licensed financial professional who represents their own insurance company, not LUAP. LUAP operates the platform that hosts the check-up on their behalf.
This policy also covers the LUAP public website at luap.com.ph.
What we collect
When you complete a Financial Check-up, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and (if you provide it) mobile number.
- Your self-assessment answers, and the score and result they produce.
- An optional income range, only if you choose to share it.
- Whether you asked for a follow-up review.
We do not ask for your address, birthday, government IDs, or bank details. If some advisors run Facebook or Instagram ads to their check-up, standard advertising cookies may record that you visited (see “Cookies and advertising” below).
Why we collect it
Only to give you your check-up result and let the advisor who shared the check-up with you prepare it and, if you agree, follow up to walk you through it. That is the entire purpose.
Your consent is the basis
We process your details on the basis of the consent you give on the check-up form, in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights”).
Who can see it
Your details go only to the advisor who shared the check-up with you. We do not sell your information or share it with other advisors or third parties for their own marketing.
A small number of trusted service providers help us run the platform and only process data on our instructions: our hosting and database provider, and our email provider used to send messages you have agreed to receive. Where an advisor runs their own ads, their advertising provider (for example, Meta) also processes visit data under that advisor’s account.
Cookies and advertising
The check-up itself needs no tracking to work. If you arrived from a Facebook or Instagram ad, the advisor running it may use the Meta Pixel — a small piece of Meta’s advertising technology — to measure their ad and reach similar audiences. This is governed by Meta’s own data policy. You can control ad tracking through your browser and your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your check-up and contact details for as long as you remain a prospective or active client of your advisor, so they can serve you. Ask to be removed and we delete your details promptly.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you may:
- Ask what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your details.
- Withdraw your consent and opt out of any follow-up.
To do any of these, contact us using the details below and we will act on your request.
How to contact us
For any privacy question or to be removed, email admin@luap.com.ph or call +63 995 912 5510. You may also reply directly to the advisor who contacted you.
